In preparation for the fall meet beginning on October 4, Keeneland is hosting a job fair to fill a few positions. When is the fair? Which positions?
The Keeneland fall meet runs from October 4 until October 26. The racetrack is hosting a fair to recruit more than 2,000 seasonal worker positions. Departments searching for employees are Keeneland’s hospitality’s food and beverage services, parking, security, The Keeneland Shop, admissions, programs, track maintenance, and guest services.
They are encouraging applicants that have handicapping thoroughbred racing experience to apply to become BETologists. This will help enhance Keeneland fans education efforts.
Team members that work the entire Fall Meet average about 40 paid hours each week and will receive paid training prior to the start of the season. Checks are distributed on a weekly basis and employees receive discounts throughout the track.
For those looking for full-time employment, this is the best way to do so. In years past, Keeneland has converted 35 seasonal employees to full-time status.
Keeneland is conducting on-site interviews for all positions at the Hiring Center which opens on Tuesday, September 3 and lasts until Thursday, September 26. Hours for the Hiring Center are Tuesdays and Wednesdays (10 am to 2 pm) and Thursdays (2 pm to 6 pm). The actual job fair is on Saturday, September 21 from 10 am until 2 pm.
