What’s standing in between a Lafayette high school senior and a model going to prom together? Only 500K retweets.

On October 28, Henry Lane took to Snapchat to ask London Olive, a former Paul Laurence Dunbar student and current model, to his senior prom. Olive has appeared on the cover of Cosmopolitan in Paris and is the daughter of Craig Olive, a local radio station sales manager.

Lane initiates a conversation on Snapchat with Olive where he asks how many retweets it would take for her to go his senior prom with him on May 9, 2020. Lane adds, “Idc if it’s a crazy amount of retweets I’ll get it done.”

Olive responds, “OK here’s the deal… If I’m in Europe it’s not possible. But if I’m in the states and you get 500K retweets I’ll go.”

Lane has received over 400 comments, 28K retweets and 5,000 likes on his tweet so far.
