The YMCA of Central Kentucky hosted the 13th annual Reindeer Ramble at Keeneland on the morning of December 8. Friends, family, and even their pets all ventured out in the 20 degree weather to participate in the 5K/10K race.

Participants were strongly encouraged to dress up in their favorite holiday attire. Many runners/walkers dressed up in their favorite Christmas sweaters, or as traditional holiday characters like elves, Santa, reindeer, and the Grinch.

All proceeds raised at the Reindeer Ramble was collected to provide children the opportunity for an enriching summer making new friends, learning new things and having fun at one of YMCA’s summer camps.

No child is turned away due to the inability to pay for the summer camp. For 13 years, this race has helped fund many children to attend one of the many YMCA summer camps. Each summer hundreds of youths go on an adventure where they can explore and figure our new talents or interests.
