The Lexington School announces opening day for Fall 2020

The Lexington School’s Opening Day of School will be Thursday, August 13, 2020.

The school is opening a week early this fall with solid plans that should help keep families healthy and allow students to be back on campus in August.

They are adjusting their Academic Calendar to maximize the opportunity for in-person learning. By adding instructional days to the calendar, we will have more flexibility in the event of a mandatory school closure. With added instructional days built-in, it will not be necessary to move to remote learning if the school is closed for a short period of time.

The school is working with architects to accomplish social distancing. New policies and safety protocols will be ensured including daily temperature checks, hand washing practices, and PPE equipment.

This summer, in-duct and freestanding air purification systems will be installed, which will utilize a combination of UV and oxidation technology to purify the air and reduce contaminants and exposure to bacteria and viruses.

The Lexington School will continue to update and post information to their website, in addition to announcing updates at the beginning of each month as we move throughout the summer.
