The 2020 Breeders’ Cup runs at Keeneland on Friday, November 6 and Saturday, November 7.
No spectators are allowed on-site, but the city of Lexington is hosting a week-long celebration leading up to the races, including special food menus at local restaurants, a firework show, and public art exhibits.
Although the race runs without fans on-site in 2020, Keeneland will again be the host site for the 2022 Breeders’ Cup World Championships, scheduled for November 4 and 5, 2022.
“We do believe that the Lexington community deserves a second chance to host and attend the Breeders’ Cup World Championships at its full potential, and so we are very excited to be bringing the event back to Keeneland in 2022, just two short years away,” says Breeders’ Cup president and CEO Drew Fleming.
