What’s Open, What’s Closed, What to do for Memorial Day near Beaumont Center 2019

Memorial Day is May 27, 2019. Will businesses be open or closed that day? Will grocery stores be open?  What about government offices?

State and federal government offices are closed in observance.

Banks across Lexington are closed.

Memorial Day: mail truckPost Offices, FedEx, and UPS are closed.

LexTran will be operating a normal Sunday schedule in observation of Memorial Day.

Fayette County Clerks Office closed.

No curbside trash, recycling, and waste collection on Memorial Day. Monday collection is pushed to Wednesday, May 29. Other days are as scheduled. Businesses who have their trash picked up on Monday will have their units picked up on Tuesday, May 28.

All Lexington Public Library branches are closed.

Most Lexington area shopping centers (Fayette Mall, Hamburg Pavilion, The Summit) are open for Memorial Day. Individual store hours may vary.

Aldi is open, but with limited hours.

Kroger is operating on normal hours and pharmacy closes at 4 pm.

Meijer is open with normal hours and pharmacy is open from 10 am until 6 pm.

All Costco stores are closed.

Trader Joe’s are open.
